Monday Mix: Truly Varied
Neat things of note...
♥ These are astounding... Riusuke Fukahori's goldfish paintings:
♥ Recently there have been a couple of mentions of my Scariest People illustration of Mac Brunson (see jacksonville.com via Folio Weekly) - people wondering if Folio Weekly's inclusion of him on that list, along with my image of him red-faced and foaming at the mouth, is part of what's seemingly pushing him to leave First Baptist Church. I'll say what I said on Folio Weekly's post... being in a bright spotlight is not always flattering, you know!
♥ On a lighter note: Yep, I need this. Bubbeline lovvvvee
♥ I can't even tell you how much I love these: Mameshiba animated shorts. Mameshibaaaa!
♥ And finally, the Alchemy juried show at Florida School of the Arts is coming up on January 26. On Friday I'll be posting my entry, but if you happen to be in the north/central Florida area, be sure to come by and see some amazing artwork by students, faculty, and alumni!

Rough Seas
made this for the FloArts alumni art show next weekend, Feb. 19 - if you happen to be in the north Florida area, come and see! Kortnie and i dropped our stuff off a couple of days ago and got to see a few of the other alumni works...
it's going to be a fantastic show, so excited.

RAM square
one of my squares for the RAM Art Gallery. If you're in Jacksonville, come to the Arts Market and see, there are lots of good squares! (David did one too - you can see his here :3)
acrylics this time, and on a really textured surface, it's been a at least a year or two since i've used acrylics. i'm pleased, though!

Sidewalk Chalk
a few photos from the SCAD Sidewalk Arts Festival this past weekend. my square took third place in the alumni category, so pleased!
a dog stepped on her... i promise that is not a paw print tattoo.
it is only similar to my original idea, but i think it came out well considering the weather... i believe the only two times i have participated are the only two times it has rained! how frustrating. it's sort of fun that way though, too. (and i have watercolor plans for my original sketch, today, i feel good about it.)

and as a side note - if you ever are looking for advice on how to sound and look as awkward as possible, check out my interview with the District and the Spotted gallery at savannahnow. i do give lessons.
