Illustration Friday: Diary

The Effects of a Sweet Nature

"You are so very pretty, my dear, so good and so mannerly, that I cannot help giving you a gift." For this was a fairy, who had taken the form of a poor country woman, to see how far the civility and good manners of this pretty girl would go. "I will give you for a gift," continued the Fairy, "that, at every word you speak, there shall come out of your mouth either a flower or a jewel."

- Diamonds and Toads, by Charles Perrault

some of you may remember that i've posted an image for diamonds and toads before... i like this one much better!

Illustration Friday: Giant

(giant hair, giant sunglasses, giant credit card bill.)

it's just a quick sketch i whipped up today; i had another, bigger idea for this week's theme, but it involves too many things i am not yet comfortable enough with. exaggerated perspective, landscape, a big muscly man... no chance of finishing it by tonight!
